What would you have liked to do but never did or havent yet

Well here's a confession,,,, Im only a few years off 50 and it got me thinking the other day about the things i would have liked to have done before i got too old to do them. :suspect: Nothing major you'll be pleased to note, just simple things really. ive always wished i could sit and while away the hours reading a book, ive tried many times but soon get bored (or fall to sleep) Ive been saying this for years and years, and wish when i was younger that i had tried harder to get the reading bug....

Well im not that old as to regret not doing something just yet. Did get me thinking though of what i would like to do before i forget to do it. so for me its (and dont laugh ) i cant swim and have always wanted to learn to do it.....

I have always wanted to skydive ! lol - but i'm certainly not going off to do that! arggh, haven't got the guts but it does fascinate me. wish i was brave enough - just where do these mad people get their braveness from.

i can honestly say that i never have done,and never will. being the scaredy cat i am. Bad enough on planes!

at least it's a what normal people do (swimming and reading a book) you could both change that and go and do them. As for me and my daft skydiving urge, think i'll just trying OBE (out of body) in meditation!

It's sounds alot safer to meditate than actually sky dive, I know i couldn't do it although i find it fascinating to watch...forget it, it must take alot of guts to do that.

Well, for me i don't think there's anything i would have liked to do in life other than have my own baby and settle down. Got both of those things now and he's such a cutey too. So is my son! lol..i guess i'm just an ordinary person and probably a boring one too as i dont have an urges to wish i had done this or that, apart from wished i hadn't stressed so much in life through all the hard times.

although saying that i always wanted to become a medium and do mediumship readings which i did do for a while a few years ago, then i wanted my own new age business, which again i have acheived. so the only thing i really regret is not having stayed calm and centred through all the difficult times. But that's life i suppose.

I am certainly not complaining though, as they say "the most challenging times are always the most valuable" and that's so true. If life ran smooth all the time, then i guess you wouldn't learn anything. But would be nice to have a break now and again

Oh that's an interesting question.

The biggest thing I've always wanted to do is conquer my math's fear. I know it sounds daft but I have a fear over numbers and didn't do very well in my math's gcse. This year, in Feb I took the plunge and enrolled on a course to re-sit my math's. I wish I had done it years ago as I'm really enjoying it.

I've always wanted to enhance my psychic ability too, but I recently visited a clairvoyant who said I wasn't quite ready yet (because I've been depressed and still am a bit down somedays)

Good for you Angelass. It's wonderful that you have decided to conquer a fear and are enjoying it as well. That takes courage!
I am sure when you are ready to go forward with your psychic ability you will just know!

Yes well done Angelass! as faeriesrfree has said,it does take alot of courage to conquer a fear...so .The psychic part will come when it's ment to,and it sounds as though you're already making a start on that as well.

I went to the swimming baths today, Full of kids jumping about though, but at least i made the effort to go. which is a start

That is a start Neptune. Sounds as though you're on a roll lately, with giving up smoking and trying to overcome your fears. with your determination, im pretty certain you'll acheive the results you want to and also offers inspiration and motivation to other members too!

Don't let the kids put you off at the swimming baths though. next time you go (if you've noticed, i said NEXT time you go!) then try to go when it's not so busy.

I have always wanted to travel Europe and see all of it's wonderful sights. However I have a fear of flying and that is what is keeping me from going. I have flown before and hated every minute of it. Had a particularily rough flight when we went in to California. Well actually the flight was ok it was the landing. Just before you reach the runway there are mountains so they have to go really high but then drop right down. Well it was storming out and when we hit the runway we started skidding and the whole plane kept tilting from side to side. A stewardess was sitting beside me and she grabbed my hand and later told me it was the scariest landing she had ever experienced and they had been thinking we were going to crash right into LAX. That really did me in and other than having to fly home I haven't been on a plane since.

Blimey,I'm not suprised you have a fear of flying. well landing in this case.You must have been really scared! Ive been on planes and had a rough ride of it before, kept hitting air pockets and the plane was tilting like mad and been in thunder storms too. it was the time i was ill with anxiety,but i had to get on the plane, so i could come home. was one of the worst flights ive ever had.

I've always wanted to go to Canada and tour the UK,(ive always lived in England and although travelled abit when younger, havent really seen much of my own country!!) but travelling tends to freak me out these days.

im not much of a flyer either i must say..... well not without a parachute a shark gun and a rubber dingy
