Recommend something

This section is for any of you who would like to recommend to other members, something of which you like or find useful. For example a book you like, or handy tips for things, a therapy of some kind, like accupuncture that sort of thing, that you have either sampled yourself or think others will find it helpful. Can even be a food recipe, a certain brand of something. The forums yours, so get posting

I hope you don't mind me posting this in this section as i wasn't sure where else to put it. if i am in the wrong place, then please move it.

I just wanted to know if any of you or anybody you know have read the book 'The Cosmic Ordering Service' and where like attracts like. Is it a good book? and best of all does it work?

I was just wondering as i was thinking of buying it.

i havent red the book, but i too think this cosmic ordering thing works. it's all about positive thinking sending good strong energy out into the universe, which in turns send good energy back to you, and with it good fortune

I bought the book myself a couple of years ago and although it's a small book i still didn't get round to reading it properly. Or i should say i did read it but never followed any of it through. It does have some good examples to try but the main thing here to remember is, you have to have the determination and positive,optimistic attitude to actually use the method. Basically i am saying there's no use in just saying a positive affirmation, thought,asking a question sending it off to the universe and then thinking to yourself 'this isn't going to work'. In my opinion it's mind over matter and you need to keep a positive thought process going on to attract what you need. I say this because i believe the universe (and if i remember rightly, in the book it says this too somewhere) that the universe will only deliver what you need, not necessarily what you want. Although what you need maybe what you want anyway. But whatever way i believe, it's all for the higher good. also there's no point demanding to the universe to stop such and such of thing or i dont like such a thing,take it away please! it doesn't work like that. You need to ask specifically for what you want or need and ask the rephrase your question positively. As we all know positive attracts positive,like attracts like and negativity attracts negativity. So instead of saying 'please get rid of that awful,annoying neighbour' you would ask something like 'if this is for my highest good to be removed from my neighbours, then please can you make this possible' (and quick sharp! lol)

I maybe talking a load of rubbish here i dont know but that's how these things tend to work.

But i would say if you are serious about using these methods, then yes it is worth buying the book.

have you seen The Secret? that is very simular, there is a book too.I have practiced positive thoughts (we were suffering financally) and i asked for money to be recieved for us to be able to get back on track.it worked!! but you have to be in the mind set of "getting what you have ordered" as if you have got it already, not easy when things are in dire straites.there is a web site too and i made a money tree from the instructions given.my collegues thought i was nuts til it started to work!! i took the tree into work for a while for eveyone to use and we pinned our lottery numbers onto it and won a tenner every week!!! you can use the secret for anything you want and as long as you are persific in what you want with a time limit which has to be feasable.be care full what you wish for cos you will get it if you follow the instructions properly.

yes i have the secret on dvd with bill proctor i believe his name is. This is very simliar to cosmic ordering,the secret works on the principle of how positive energy resonates at different frequency throughout your body, attracting only good things to you from the collective energy in the universe. Bad thoughts resonate at a different frequency attracting negative energy, and bad luck.

apparently this secret has been known by the great leaders throughout history from George Washington to Winston Churchill who are said to have actively practiced the secret.

Whatever the truth about the secret, positive thinking and happy thoughts are always a good thing, and can only do you good in the end.

I have the secret on DVD, and i too find it very interesting. It does make a lot of sense to me, although i keep trying, it seems to make very little difference in my life. perhaps i have to believe a bit more, and try a little bit harder

i just have to recommend this easy way to stop smoking book to anybody that hasnt seen the download in the stop smoking club section. Ive been reading it and it is really good. It makes a lot of sense to me, and can see it really opening my eyes.

It's no wonder its so popular.

Great News Neptune Im really pleased that it's had such an effect on you. I only hope it's the same for others too and i wish you all the best with such a hard thing to accomplish. It certainly does open your eyes though.

I was having a look on the net to find out more about this allen carr. After reading his book i didnt expect him to be passed over, but he died last year of lung cancer caused by secondary smoking trying to help others in his clinics. shame that.

Yes it was a shame seeing as he managed to kick the habit himself of smoking 100 a day! thats how he got to write the book by his own problems through smoking. He cracked it,stopped smoking,wrote the book, did a few clinics and then died of lung cancer like you say, from secondary smoking. Don't know if you've got up to that part yet, but he did say that his wish was to beable to make his book avaiable to millions before he passed over.
