Earthquake

I know this is now history and most people have shut up talking about it.But i was interested to know where you all were when the earthquake happened. did it frighten you or did you find it fascinating? what were your thoughts at the time. Did you know what was happening.

I was on my pc listening to some music at the time. I was really getting into it when the room started to shake quite violently. I thought it was something to do with my music playing loud down my headphones or something, making my head shake sounds daft i know but you think alsorts dont you. Or was that just me!

I was in bed and it started to vibrate i thought " here we go" (spirit shake my bed sometimes) the the radiator started to rattle and then i realised what it was,i said to hubby, look at the clock and remember the time,it will be on the news in the morning, and sure enough it was. we have had them in the midlamds a fwe times now,so i wasnt scared although it was the biggest so far.

Neptune, that will teach you to be playing your music to loud that you thought it was vibrating in your head.Although not funny i know, but your post did make me laugh.

Spiritlight, I bet it just felt like another ordinary night in bed with spirit pestering you! I've heard that many times about the bed shaking by spirit. Never experienced it myself, thank goodness!

It certainly was a bad earthquake. It actually terrified me, i was physically shaking! I was sat on the sofa in the front room at the time and Nathan (my baby son) was asleep in his chair on the floor as i had just fed him.I was watching a video at the time which was a the latest Stephen King movie called 1408,a supernatural film about a haunted hotel room starring John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson, so a bit of a spooky film to start with

Next thing i knew I was hearing a really deep rumbling noise and like a really loud,violent gale force wind type noise. The room shuck really violently from side to side,it felt and sounded almost like a train passing outside the window or a plane too close to the house.I live in a upstairs flat so it sounded as though the roof was about to collapse.This is embarrasing but My thoughts at the time were that the wind was that bad that it was shaking the house from side to side although my logical mind was telling that wasn't actually possible here in this country. My second thoughts were that an aircraft was about to crash into the house.All this happened in this split second and the first thing that i did was get down on the floor and lean right over nathan who was fast asleep at the time and probably would have only thought he was being rocked to sleep had he been awake! but my natural instincts was whatever was happening was to protect my son. So i leaned over him guarding him from whatever i thought was about to happen. (in my case,the roof falling in) and walls caving in, as the mirror was swinging on the wall and all the ornaments were sliding about, the room swayed too.
Obviously i realised afterwards that it was an earthquake and as i have never experienced one before (as last time i was asleep!) this earthquake really scared me. I was shaking for ages afterwards and bracing myself for an aftershock. Which never happened.

I'll never forget that and i felt really stupid thinking the things i did.

Well i was in the toilet if you must know talk about a movement, (the earth that is ) the whole place shook, the walls, the mirror in the bathroom just shook from side to side, and everything just vibrated. I Remember the noise mostly though, it was a sort of very deep rumble sound...

I hope we dont have one of those again

well i slept through the whole thing! i feel i missed out now. The earth could have moved for me too!
