Ok, well, we have had a major update on the forum today. things included now are...

A new thanks buttons in the posts.
Multi quote's for posts
Extended profiles with friends, friends comments and so on.
A points system for posting, how many friends you have and so on.
A new reputation system

and more besides.

As you may or may not know, this forum isnt one i host myself, unlike the others i have, and so i am not in full control of what gets added to the inner workings. I just do the layout and design of the thing, but updates are handled by Forumotion, and to be honest they arent the brightest button in the tin. So, before i get a chance to have a sort through to see how things work, best that you just have a look around, play with things, and if anything doesnt seem to work as it should, then just let me know and i'll look into it for you.

In time i will do a WIKI (guide) for the new update so it will make it easier for you to find your way around the new features.

ah omg

ive only just signed in today and my sign in button was different and i wondered what the heck? then i saw this scrolling bar flying by at the top saying new updates, i panicked for a second and wondered what the heck was happening to our forum! but saw that it said wingman in the bar running across the top, so was relieved to know that wingman was aware of it all! phew! scratch

Well im on it throwing my weight around the support forum... apparently, its still work in progress and will all calm down in a few hours....

So im in the back office sorting the configurations out, so with a bit of guidance it should be ok in a bit...

It best be thats all i can say, or im gunna have a few choice word for those FF's Mad

It looks like that thanks button is only there for the topic that you create, and by the looks of things you can on use it once in each topic....

well as per, people are going barmy on the support forum.... 5 pages of faults so far.... it will get sorted though and if it doesnt, i will just revert the forum back to pre updates....

ok things are settling now... only took a few hours to sort, you will
see new things pop up at any time. like the new points system, where
you get points for posting, even more points for the topics you start
and things like that. Cool

plus i can award point to people for erm. "being nice to me...." Very Happy

and take them away for being cheeky (claire) Razz

..... might award points though extra for people who get the top poster
awards and things like that. have to see how these new features go.....

Well now that ive managed to fix this thing, you will see a + and - sign at the top right of everybodys post. the idea is that if you agree with something, then you click the plus, this will give the postee a reputation point and well as turn the bar green. If you dont like what is said or whatever, you press the minus button if you want, and that will take away one reputation point away. It's all just a bit of fun really. No doubt i'll be in the minus points once claire gets back because of my cheek Angel

but you get the drift im sure. There are other ways to get points too, for every post you make you get a point, and for every topic you make you get double points and so on. Im going to try and rename it to Karma or something, but its all the same ~~cobblers~~ Er, i mean Thing Twisted Evil

Well most of the bugs have been sorted now in the new update, im not sure about one bug though that is reported, i think claire's had a taste of it, although i didnt know it was a bug at the time. Sometimes it seems, if you make someone your friend, the bug decides a few days later to unfriend you with this person, so it seems like your friend doesnt want to be your friend anymore. So if this happens, please dont get offended, because more than likely it will be this fault. I dont know if it is fixed yet, it should be, but you never know so just keep that in mind. Birthdays are sorted now, so they are all correct again. If by chance you spot anything that doesnt seem right, please let me know so i can fix it. In the meantime, i hope you like the new updates. Rolling Eyes

Oh and if you scroll down a bit to the bottom of the page, you will see a quick reply box, which is.. Well, what it says on the tin really Smile
